•Alamo Designs are custom manufactured one at a time. We know the door business. We use the finest components available and utilize these items as standard features on the only product worthy of the Alamo name. Most designs lend themselves well to custom dimensions.... •Alamo Designs weather very well. They undergo a state of the art acrylic paint process that consists of a primer and two coats of a tough high grade acrylic paint. They tolerate the harshest of climates. After this process, doors are faux finished in your desired color. Paint is then sealed with a clear ultraviolet resistant finish. (Exclusive!)

•Our doors are heavy. Stiles (vertical members of a door frame) and rails (horizontal members of a door frame) are 12 ga. steel. Doors are 2 in. thick! Our raw iron costs are easily twice the iron costs of lesser doors. (Exclusive!)

(The smaller the gauge number the greater the steel thickness. As a point of reference, 12 ga. square tubing is approx. the thickness of a US Silver Dollar. 14 ga. is approx. the thickness of a US quarter while 16-18 ga. is approximately that of a US dime!)

•Lesser iron doors use 16 ga. to 18 ga. throughout. We considered this lightweight in comparison. These lesser iron doors require much less skill and effort to assemble and can be problematic.

•Proper hinge selection ensures smooth operation. All doors are equipped with roller bearing hinges. (Exclusive!)

•All corners mitered (45 degree angles) for strength and added structural integrity. (Exclusive!)

•Forged iron components are heated and hammered by hand; no buyout parts (mass production scrolls) are purchased and pieced together. (Exclusive!)

•Doors and jambs are foam injected for added critical insulation and sound deadening. We pioneered this! (Exclusive!)

•Functional interior glass panels are hinged to the interior side of the door to allow for ease of cleaning, guarded ventilation and package exchange. Glass panel closes flush with the interior side of the door... nice. (Exclusive!)

Popular tempered glass choices are 1/4" to 1/2" Popular insulated double pane size are 1/2" to 5/8" - Glass not included, however, we will fabricate a panel to house the desired glass thickness.
